Choices

My Lovelies,

I have an opinion about this. That shouldn't shock you if you've been paying attention. Number 1, the comment is indeed tremendously stupid. Hand controls are a perfectly safe, viable option to help us in this community navigate life in a world not meant for us. What should be more shocking is that so many of us fight so hard just to be part of the world that clearly wishes we'd just stay inside.

And then there are those, like myself, who have "thought of others' safety" and chosen, like me, not to get behind any wheels in this world. I have very limited peripheral vision, and sometimes just the cars coming up behind me or things happening just out of sight on the road absolutely terrify me. I wouldn't be able to process and react quickly enough for my own safety and that of others.

Which really adds another layer to this commenter's stupidity altogether. The fact that they don't assume we've put any thought into our decision to drive or not drive! It's really amusing if I think about it. It's not as if most of the people on the roads today just because they can be should have the privilege, God knows! Some of them ought to have thought long and hard about others before they commented.
